There is something fascinating about exploring a four-story underground building that was once so top secret that few knew of its existence. Even personnel stationed at the bunker were not permitted access to all areas. nker. Following months of research through the Diefenbunker, Canada’s Cold War Museums’ archives, blueprints, photos and library, Frlan created a series of sculptures that explore the psychological climate during the Cold War era. Frlan’s sculptures were installed throughout the museum’s spaces in the Bank of Canada vault, the teletypewriter repair shop and the safety escape hatch room.
