Flower Power (2020)

Flower Power 2020/Les fleurs pour la paix 2020 is a temporary installation for Microcosm, the City of Ottawa’s Public Art Project. Frlan selected two large flower pots located at the Heron Community Centre in Ottawa as the site for her installation. The Heron Gate community has been impacted by gentrification and the loss of affordable housing. Frlan’s steel flowers symbolize the desire for for home, security, and peace.
